Project Overview
The brief was to create a dining set with generous proportions, softened edges, and a material quality that would grow richer over time. We designed a solid timber table with a matching bench, balancing the room’s traditional character with a clean, contemporary silhouette. Every element was hand-shaped and finished to highlight the natural grain. The bench was proportioned to tuck neatly beneath the table, preserving circulation when the space is not in use.

Our Approach
After reviewing the dining room dimensions and seating needs, we developed full-scale proportions for the table and bench. Timber boards were selected for consistent character, then joined and shaped in our workshop. Multiple finishing samples were tested with the client before the final oil treatment was applied, protecting the timber while keeping its tactile quality visible.

Results
