Project Overview
This exposed coastal balcony needed an outdoor surface that could resist changing weather while making the compact footprint feel more private and inviting. We installed durable timber decking and vertical cladding to create a unified outdoor room. The selected materials were chosen for weather performance, stable fixing, and a finish that would age gracefully. Ventilation gaps and drainage details were integrated from the start to support long-term durability.

Our Approach
We inspected the balcony structure, drainage paths, and exposure before selecting the timber profile and subframe system. The design was planned around efficient water run-off and safe movement through the space. Installation was completed in phases, with all fixings concealed where possible and each cladding board aligned for a refined, architectural finish.

Results
The balcony now feels like an extension of the home: warm, private, and robust enough for year-round outdoor use. The cladding adds depth, while the decking gives the space a comfortable and reliable surface.
